Soak the bread in a bowl of water, remove, and squeeze out the water with your hands. Place in a bowl and add all the other ingredients and knead them together. Leave the mixture for half an hour in the fridge for the ingredients and flavours to infuse.
Create small meatballs of 2–3cm diameter using a small spoon. Dredge with flour and fry in hot oil until they brown. Place on a serving dish lined with kitchen paper to absorb the excess oil from frying. To make the sauce, combine all the ingredients in a bowl and serve alongside the meatballs.
