Holding an International taste award, MEVGAL returned from the International Food & Beverage Exhibition Anuga, which was recently held in Cologne, Germany, and in which the company successfully participated.
It was MEVGAL’s Gourmet yogurt with peppermint and dark chocolate, which was awarded - among 50 yogurts from around the world - to the international flavor and innovation contest "Anuga Taste Innovation".
This was not the only international distinction for this year, since in 2017 MEVGAL was the only Greek dairy industry to be awarded the Innovation Award Wabel 2017 for Lactose Free Yogurt at the Wabel Chilled & Dairy Summit held this year in Paris. Finally, it is worth mentioning that seven products with the signature of MEVGAL stood out in the Superior Taste Award 2017, the annual organization of the International Institute of Flavor and Quality - iTQi, based in Brussels.
The company's export strategy provides for the extension of the yoghurt category by designing and circulating specialized products (such as breakfast, lactose free and desserts), alongside the more traditional product selections that the public has gained for years. It thus covers the modern dietary trends that impose delicious, high quality products with high added value.
Market shares in European markets are significant today (according to Eurostat data) 20% of yoghurt exported by Greece worldwide, which means that 1 in five yoghurts are produced from MEVGAL!
